Keep Your Canine Cool with Kool Dogs Ice Treat Maker

With summer upon us, keeping your canine companion cool and comfortable is a priority and the Kool Dogs Ice Treat Maker is an innovative way to do it.

You can make it out of ice only or add in your dog's favorite treats. If you are concerned about your dog's weight, you can insert low-fat treats into the ice block pre-freeze. Simply pour clean water into the reusable-freezing bucket and add any dog treats you want to have frozen into the doggie pop. You can also put favorite toys in the water to further entice your dog to use the treat to cool off. After freezing, the ice is held atop a heavy-duty steel base and extension rod, which secures into the ground and keeps your Kool Dogs Ice Treat from getting any dirt or grime in the melting treat. There is a deep-water reservoir that collects the melted, icy water and helps keep your dog hydrated and cool. The treats imbedded in the ice will interest any dog to have a lick and enjoy a cool treat just for canines.

If you have a dog that becomes bored quickly and you're wondering about variations in recipes you can make for your canine pal, there are Ice Treat recipes are also included. You can use those to make up your own recipes that are exclusively for your dog.

If you travel and camp, these treats are ideal ways to keep your dog cool if you have access to a travel fridge with a freezer or if you just want to have a cool treat available for your dog in the summer months, this is the perfect way to keep your canine companion cool.

Water Fun for Your Dog with Fido Float

When your family enjoys a great day at the family pool, at the lake in your boat or swimming, now your dog can be included in the family fun and with safety with a Fido Float.

Fido Float Dog Life Jacket and Life Preserver is an ideal way to let your dog enjoy water fun with the family and remain as safe as everyone else. Dogs can get fatigued in the water just as much as people and this life jacket and life preserver offers superior comfort and safety for dogs in or around the water.

The straps of this jacket will adjust to fit snugly and handles assist in lifting your dog from the water as necessary. The Fido Float increases your dog's time he can spend in the water as he won't solely be responsible for keeping himself afloat and this jacket makes riding on a boat much safer for dogs.

The exclusively designed collar-to-tail back zipper closure ensures easy on and off for even the most wiggly of canines. The reflective label and bright color aids visibility in low lighting conditions. There are 7 sizes from tiny that starts at 12-inches and the sizes go all the way to XX-large for dogs up to 48-inches in length. Choosing the size that will fit your dog and getting a perfect fit is easy, just measure the circumference of your dog's chest around the deepest point from just behind the front legs. This jacket and life preserver is crafted in an easy to care for nylon that will be both durable and comfortable for every dog.

Great Fathers Day Gifts for Your Pet Loving Dad

With Father's Day just around the corner, you may have been straining your brain trying to think of an exceptional gift for your Dad. If dad is a pet lover, there are a number of cool gifts that will translate nicely into a "Thanks for being a great Dad" gift for Father's Day.

Catopoly is a cat-crafted version of the traditional "Opoloy" games. Instead of real estate, you play for 22 different cat breeds and your knowledge of nuances of each breed is tested. As you "own" the different breeds, you will find out fun facts about cats. The hotels are now Big Fish and the cards changed from Chance and Community Chest to Cat-astrophe and Purrrfect. The pewter tokens are also whimsical and fun and consist of a mouse, ball of yarn, milk bottle, can of sardines and a fish. If your Dad is a dog lover, there is also a fun dog-crafted version of this game.

Master's Mints Bone-Shaped Sugar Free Mints for People are a nifty little gift to include with a game of Dogopoly. Another fun gift is the Memo Board Piggy Banks that do a dual job of holding your memos and your spare change. Some novel people use them as "swear banks" to encourage less bad language used in the home. Amounts are assigned to various "forbidden words". When a forbidden word is uttered, the person that said it has to put a designated amount in the piggy bank. The slot in the back allows for the insertion of spare change and when it's time to make a withdrawal, there is a handy rubber plug that allows easy access to the money within. The belly of the piggy bank is a message board that can be used over and over. The front paws hold a marker and an eraser. This cute and functional gift comes in both a dog and a cat style. Get your pet loving Dad a gift he'll cherish on Father's Day and beyond.

Convenient Stepping for Your Dog with Dog Steps

Sometimes your dog needs a little help getting into your van, truck or SUV. Other times he might need a little extra help climbing the stairs or the elevated area around a pool. Some dogs with hip dysplasia can have a hard time even getting to their favorite place on the sofa next to you. In previous years, these dogs would have had no choice but to give up their favorite sitting places that required climbing but now there is help.

The Paw Shop has a full line of dog steps and ramps that will help your dog easily get to the places he wants to be with a minimum of exertion on his hips and legs. This is great for older dogs with arthritis, injured dogs and dogs recovering from surgery. The Delux Pet Steps and UltraLite Pet Stairs are great for dogs that need a leg up to reach the interior of your SUV or indoor furniture.

The Triple Telescoping Dog Ramp is a space saving unit when compacted and extends to a full 72-inches. It is riveted for extra strength at stress points and will give you dog more mobility than ever with its unique telescoping design. It is fantastic for helping your favorite canine friend get into your Sport Utility Vehicle as well as any place else he can no longer climb to on his own. For additional safety, there are 4 1/2 inch high side rails that will let your dog stay safely on the ramp as he walks across it. The ramp is covered in high-quality indoor/outdoor carpet that is easy to keep clean and gives your dog great traction for ascending and descending the ramp.

This is an extra durable ramp that is made from a Marine Grade Polymer and is guaranteed to not rot or fade - ever. If you favorite canine companion needs a little help reaching his favorite places, help him out with a ramp or stairs to make the climb a little easier.

Dog Crates - Convenience and Safety

There are times when for his own good, your dog will need to be kept in a dog crate. They also make valuable training tools, as your dog will have a place he feels safe and secure to use as "home base".

Dog crates have multiple uses and every pet owner should use one in the training of their pet, they have gotten an undeserved bad rap from some animal rights groups but with proper use, a dog crate can be an important part of a good training program. A dog crate was never intended to be a full time home for any dog. Your canine companion needs lots of exercise, mental stimulation, affection and good care to thrive. There are numerous beneficial ways to use a dog crate to help your pet become a secure and loving companion.

A dog crate is an important aid in house breaking your pet. Dogs have a natural instinct not to soil where they sleep. It is best to first get your dog in the habit of sleeping in his crate. This will serve two purposes, it will enable him to be safe and stay out of trouble from tearing up sofa cushions or chewing on table legs during the night when you're asleep and he's unattended and it will give him a place that is his very own. The first thing in the morning, take your pet outside to do relieve himself and then make regular trips outside until he learns the proper place to relieve himself. Soon, he will be alerting you when it is time to take him outside and if you leave the door open to his crate, many dogs will be happy to snooze in their special place.

It's irresponsible and dangerous to allow your pet the run of the car when he travels with you. It only takes one second for your dog to leap in front of your field of vision or cause a distraction and you could be involved in an accident. Not to mention your dog will be hurtled through the car and likely suffer serious injuries or worse. If you don't use a pet car seat, a dog crate is a wonderful alternative and gives him room to move around and yet stay safe during the ride.
