Time To Poop Scoop
Ah, the winter thaw has finally arrived, and you know what that means for us pet owners; time to poop scoop!
Yes, it's an unpleasant task, but for dog owners it's practically a right of spring. It's easy to avoid the poop scoop job when the snow keeps falling and covering it up. You can't clean what you can't find, right? But now all those piles have been revealed, so it's time to poop scoop before the neighbors start to complain.
The poop scoop job is easier when you are armed with something to help get rid of the dirty deeds, and Pawshop has a few items that should be of some help. Biodegradable Scoopies are the pick up and throw it away unit all in one. Each Scoopies is like a plastic mitten that fits over your hand so you can scoop poop and then turn the bag inside out as you take it off, holding the poop inside. Tie it closed and throw it away. These poop scoop bags naturally biodegrade within eighteen months and then the poop can break down into natural fertilizer.
For larger poop scoop jobs, you're going need a long handled scoop and some of our Clean Sweep Dog Waste Pickup Bags. Each roll contains 100 poop scoop bags with handle ties, and they are scented which makes the job a little more pleasant.
Seriously, no one enjoys poop scoop time, but you can get through this unpleasant job much easier when you have the right tools from The Pawshop.

Make Your Pet Work For His Dog Treats
Pet obesity can lead to a number of health concerns, so making your pet work for his dog treats is one way to make sure he gets plenty of exercise.
When pets grow heavy, it puts a lot of stress on their skeletal structure, causing excess wear and tear on joints. Internal organs can also be affected by pet obesity. Too much stored fat in the liver can make it difficult for that organ to do its job, and everyone knows that obesity is a leading cause of heart disease and Canine Diabetes.
A moderate increase in exercise can help your pet maintain a healthy weight, and you don't have to give up giving him dog treats to do it. The SnackShotz Dog Treat Launcher is a one of a kind toy that will give you and your pet a lot of entertainment. Here's how SnackShotz Dog Treats Launchers work.
Each SnackShotz set comes with three boxes of dog treats refills. Just load the unit with a few dog treats, pull the lever and get out of the way. The dog treats will be propelled as far as 12 feet away, and your dog is going to go sailing after them. Then he's going to come running back to you to see what else you have.
SnackShotz makes it incredibly easy to help your pet stay physically fit, and you don't have to give up the pleasure of giving him dog treats to make that happen.

Cat Treats That Make Good Sense
Felines enjoy cat treats now and then, but much of what is sold in the grocery store aisles doesn't contain a lot of nutrition. Couple that with low grade ingredients and you have to wonder just how worthy these products are of being called cat treats.
The Pawshop believes that true cat treats should be tasty, but also healthy for your pet. Why waste precious calories on junk cat treats when you can be providing sound nutrition, and perhaps some dental therapy in the bargain. Now that's what we call cat treats!
Case in point, Dr. Harvey's Freeze Dried Cat Treats. These cat treats use only human grade ingredients of the highest quality, boosting their nutritional content. Then, the freeze-drying preserves the best flavor, so cats can't wait to get at them. Owners will also be happy to know that these cat treats do not contain any added salt, sugars or preservatives, things your cat shouldn't be eating anyway.
Next up, Feline Greenies Dental Cat Treats. If we told you there was a way to indulge your furball with cat treats that actually helped clean their teeth wouldn't you be interested? Of course. These cat treats come in chicken and salmon flavors your cat can't resist, and as they chew the tartar accumulation on their teeth gets scraped away. Your cat's dental health gets a boost every time you feed him these flavorful cat treats.
The next time you want to give your cat treats, make sure you are giving him the best available from The Pawshop.

Canine Hip Dysplasia
Canine Hip Dysplasia is a painful orthopedic disease that affects many larger breeds of dogs. The disease is hereditary and progressive, so let's take a look at what causes Canine Hip Dysplasia, how it can be detected, and what you can do to help your pet.
Canine Hip Dysplasia causes abnormal development of the ball and socket joint in a dog's rear legs. Since the parts are not properly formed, the joint tends to slip and rub, leading to pain and loss of mobility. The friction eventually begins to wear away the fibrous lining of the joint, damaging the cartilage. The cartilage responds by releasing inflammatory proteins, causing the joint to become tender and sore, just like arthritis. Once this process begins, the joint continues to deteriorate until Canine Hip Dysplasia becomes unbearable for the dog.
Canine Hip Dysplasia is hereditary, so responsible breeders have all their breeding stock X-rayed at the hip joints. The films are then sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) where experts will evaluate the results and issue a rating for the animal ranging between Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor. Animals with less than a Good rating should not be bred.
If you have a puppy or older dog with signs of joint pain and stiffness, you should have them examined by a vet for Canine Hip Dysplasia. You can also help protect any dog's joint health by supplementing them with glucosamine to give them the nutrients to boost cartilage production. Healthy Baker Glucosamine Dog Biscuits are a nutritious source of glucosamine that can help improve your dog's joint health and ward off some of the worst affects of Canine Hip Dysplasia.
Canine Hip Dysplasia can be devastating to both owners and their dogs, but at least Healthy Baker Glucosamine Dog Biscuits allow you to provide your pet with nutritional aid for their condition.
