Pet Food Accessories
Feeding your pet a healthy diet is one of the most important things you'll ever do for him, and a few pet food accessories can make the job much easier.
If you've been feeding your dog from cheap plastic food bowls, then you already know that these pet food accessories don't last for very long. May we suggest a ceramic food dish instead? These pet food accessories are impossible for your dog to chew up, and the heavier bowl prevents your pet from spilling their food all over the floor. Our Good Dog Food/Water Bowls are both attractive and sturdy pet food accessories no smaller pet should be without.
It has been suggested that the digestion of larger dogs would benefit from raised food bowls. These pet food accessories lessen the amount of air your pet swallows while feeding and should prevent the occurrence of bloat, and uncomfortable and possibly life threatening stomach disease. Our Scroll Design Raised Wrought Iron Pet Feeders come with metal dishes and are beautiful, as well as durable pet food accessories.
Tired of knocking over that bag of pet food hanging around in the kitchen? We've got a solution. Our Wall Mounted Dog & Cat Food Storage Container/Dispensers are terrific pet food accessories that eliminate your storage problems and make filling your food bowls a breeze. You can even use these pet food accessories to store bird seed, and kitty litter.
Pet food accessories not only make feeding time easier, they help with storage issues for a tidier kitchen.

Paws Shop Gift Certificates
Paws Shop Gift Certificates are the perfect all occasion gift giving solution for anyone who is a pet lover.
Gift certificates and gift cards have become very popular gift alternatives in recent years. When you need a gift for someone, but aren't sure of what they'd like, it's usually best to let them pick out something themselves. Gift certificates also assure that the recipient isn't going to wind up with two or more of the same items and have to go through the hassle to return the extras.
Need a birthday gift for someone who already has everything, including a dog or a cat? Then why not give them gift certificates so they can pick out something fresh and new for their pets. They can use their gift certificates to purchase a nice new pet bed and throw the old smelly one away. Gift certificates can also be used to purchase pet carriers, and clothing too. There are dozens of different items pet lovers can choose from to use their gift certificates on.
Gift certificates also eliminate the hassle of shipping gifts to out of town friends and family. If you know they have a beloved pet in the home, just give them a gift certificate and let us take care of the shipping for you.

Caring For Older Pets
Caring for older pets is a little more complicated than when they were young, but isn't it worth it after all the years of love and affection they have given you? Older pets need plenty of TLC in order to keep them part of the family for as long as possible.
Every older pet should have a comfortable warm bed of their own to sleep in. Older pets will spend much more time sleeping than they used to and it's important that they have their own spot out of the main traffic areas in your home. A Luxury Pet Box Bed provides cushioned comfort for tired bones and sore joints, while being low enough for older pets to easily step in and out of. These beds are also machine washable in case older pets are unable to get up and go outside in time.
Speaking of tired bones and sore joints, older pets can benefit from a relaxing massage. A massage helps increase blood and oxygen flow, which help rejuvenate sore muscles. Our Vibrating Pet Massager will help you give older pets a soothing rub down, while letting them know how much you still care. The motor action is quiet and gentle so older pets won't be startled.
Older pets also have different nutritional needs as they age. Now is the time to switch to a maintenance diet to help your older pets refrain from becoming over weight.
With a little extra care and protection, older pets can still be important members of your household.

How To Give Your Dog A Bath
When man's best friend gets dirty, it's important to know how to give your dog a bath to help keep him healthy and pleasant to be around.
To begin, skip that silly idea of filling up a tubful of sudsy water to give your dog a bath. They only do that on TV and it is not the best way to give our dog a bath. All you really need is a bath tub that has a spray hose attachment and you are in business. You can even use the kitchen sink if your dog is small enough, just be prepared to clean it thoroughly after you give your dog a bath.
Select a no tear shampoo, with or without conditioner, and have your towel ready before you begin to give your dog a bath. Adjust the water so it's pleasantly warm without being hot enough to burn your dog. Now you're ready to put your dog in the tub.
Begin to give your dog a bath by rinsing his head first and then working your way down his neck, shoulders, chest, back, tail and legs, taking care to get him saturated. Now, in the same order, pour the shampoo in your palm and work it in area by area as you give your dog a bath. Add more shampoo as needed. Pay attention to your dog's undercarriage and feet especially, as dirt is easily trapped in these areas.
Rinse your dog from head to tail and then rinse the chest area, undercarriage and legs. This order keeps you from washing more soap into areas you just rinsed. Use your hands to push excess water out of your dog's coat and you are ready to towel him off. We recommend our Bone Shaped Dog Bath Towels for their super absorbancy. Towel off most of the water, and then follow up with a quick blow dry. It's not that hard to give your dog a bath when you are organized and know the proper procedure.

Take Care Of Your Dog's Feet
Your dog spends a lot of time running, jumping and playing, so it's very important to take care of your dog's feet.
Nails
Take care of your dog's feet by making sure his nails are properly trimmed. While most dogs' nails will naturally wear down as they run on pavement and other rough surfaces, you still can't leave it to chance.
Take care of your dog's feet by first checking his dew claws if they haven't been removed. Dew claws are too far up on the paw for surface wear down and they can grow around into the pad if they aren't trimmed. Using a pair of dog nail trimmers, trim these back just before the area where the nails look pink inside. This area is called the quick and it will bleed if you cut into it. Finish checking and clipping each nail as needed when you take care of your dog's feet.
Pads
Your dog's pads make seem thick and tough, but pad care is also necessary to take care of your dog's feet. Many dog breeds have excessive hair growing between the pads. This hair can become uncomfortably matted, and also contribute to the formation of toe cysts. Take care of your dog's feet by carefully trimming this hair away with our Wahl Stylique Mini Trimmer. The smaller size of this trimmer makes it easy to trim between the pads for a clean cut.
If you take care of your dog's feet by keeping his nails and pads trimmed, your pet will be more comfortable and run less risk of injury.
